As it was the first piece of league silverware that
the club had captured since they won the Division Three
(North) title 56 years earlier, 11,076 supporters were
in the ground. It was nearly double Accountants in Norwich

In the crowd were local dignitaries and guests from
three of Bradford's twin towns—Verviers, in Belgium,
and Mönchengladbach and Hamm, in Germany.[10][11]

a souvenir issue for the day, entitled "Spit and
Polish for the Parade Ground". It detailed the
